Going to a restaurant is maybe one the first things we do when going abroad, and sometimes, can be a bit frustrating if we don't know how to order the meal.

I hope this short dialogue helps you.

Customer: Good afternoon. Do you have a table for two, please?

Waiter: Yes Sir, follow me, please.

(Once you are sitting at your table)

Waiter: Here is the menu. Would you like a drink while you look at the menu?

Customer: Yes, we'll have beer, please

(After a few minutes the waiter returns)

Waiter: Are you ready to order?

Customer: What do you recommend? Do you have any specials?

Waiter: I recommend our steak and onion pudding with cabbage and bacon

Customer: That sounds good, I'll have that

Waiter: How would you like your steak?

Customer: Medium rare, please

Customer 2: I'll have chicken with mushrooms and salad to start

Waiter: Anything else?

Customer: No, thank you. That's all

(When you have finished your meal, the waiter will return )

Waiter: Would you like to see the dessert menu?

Customer: No, just a coffee, please

Customer: Could I have the bill, please?

Waiter: Here you are

Customer: Can I pay by card?

Waiter: Yes, of course. How was everything?

Customer: It was delicious. We really enjoyed it, thanks.
